Year 7 pupils are invited to attend an educational visit to Coventry Cathedral next half term. The pupils will use the visit to the Cathedral as a resource for research in RE and to support the current topic of study in RE lessons. During the day, pupils will work both in groups and independently to develop skills for researching, investigating, enquiry and presenting to new audiences. Furthermore, Coventry Cathedral also has a rich history that pupils will be able to learn about on the day including how the cathedral was targeted during the Blitz.
Pupils will travel by coach and will leave school at 9.10am. They will return to school at approximately 3.00pm. Pupils will be required to attend school at 8.50am as usual. They will need to take a packed lunch with them on the day and this should include a drink. Pupils are required to wear school uniform and will also need to bring writing equipment with them.
If you would like your child to attend this trip there is a £15.00 charge for this trip which should be paid via Wisepay. Please complete the reply slip on the permission letter and return it to Miss Clayton in D306. Any child who qualifies for free school meals will have the fees paid for them and a packed lunch will be provided.
