Several Barr Beacon students have received Diana Awards for their altruistic behaviour and Olivia Iqbal is our latest, exceptional recipient.
Not only does she find time in her busy life for helping the homeless, putting on fundraising events for various charities and even giving up her own bedroom for those in need, but she is also gaining a reputation as an authority on preventing abuse of young girls. She started by helping her mom out with some presentations for her work and has now delivered such presentations herself to rooms full of experts – including MPs and West Midlands Police.
A very worthy winner. Well done Olivia.
