As we approach the end of term and pupils embark on exciting holidays and activities with their parents, carers, families and friends over the 6 week break, we at Barr Beacon School would like all pupils to remain safe whilst online. Here are a few reminders that we would like to share with our parents/Carers:
- Please ensure you talk to your children about their online activity.
- Ensure you are aware of what your child is playing on or looking at.
- If your child expresses concerns or worries over material they have seen online, or posts or inappropriate or upsetting comments that have made it is important to report this and offer support.
- Inappropriate online material that can be harmful or distressing, can be reported through the report abuse button on the social media apps
Alternatively, you may want to report it to:
Internet Watch Foundation – https://www.iwf.org.uk/
National Crime Agency – http://ceop.police.uk

We wish you and your child a safe and happy 6 weeks break.
