LGBTQ+ History Month 2020: Intersectionality
LGBTQ+ people have often been left out of history. But LGBTQ+ people of certain ethnicities, religions and social classes are even less likely to be featured. For instance, many people are unaware of the instrumental role played by working class black and Latin people in the famous Stonewall riots which ignited the gay civil rights movement. This year, we are focusing on learning about LGBTQ+ people across the social spectrum. We are even looking at homosexuality in animals other than human beings.

February is LGBT History Month! We want to use this month as an opportunity to celebrate the strength and spirit of the LGBT community.
